Penn captiva cv8000

I had a penn captiva bought as an xmas pressie... i finally got to test drive it last night.. got nothing but praise for it....smooth, powerful and solidly built... fished it side by side with an okuma zorax zx80, the penn had loads more grunt... lovely reel

got one too,but check for loose screws, particularly on the bale arm as it can damage the thread.other than that it's nice to use

I had read this somewhere before... i gave it the once over with a screwdriver before i fished with it.. you are right the bail arm was clearly put together by a 3 year old with muscular dystrophy

also found that if you keep the spool low on line it works well for cranking stuff up piers, though does'nt cast so well then..lol
