Just bought a 1997 Scout 162 and took it out for a quick run this weekend. Had a little water come in the Scuppers, besides plugging them is there any other product out there to control water coming in?

Wouldn't want plugs on any boat I was taking offshore. Seems to be a consistent issue with some scouts. My 01 28 center consoles scuppers were also a problem.

Unless you get into 4' swells.....just plug it and be done with it. Worse case you take water over the edge, just unscrew the plugs. driving around with wet feet is silly.

Hi catch n release,
The ping pong ball set up is called raybuds. I had the same problem with my boat. Bought a pair and put them on and didn't have a problem since. Give them a try.................Reelfly (Tom)
