Still Rough In The East Neuk
Yet again the sea was much more like January than July last night with yet another big easterly swell running. My mate and I had a couple of low water rock marks in mind but there was just no chance of fishing them as they were being completely swamped with very large waves. After half an hour sitting debating whether to even fish at all,we finally decided at 8 o clock to give the pier at Pittenweem a wee go.As expected the 'normal' fishing was hopeless, snag after snag.Fortunately plan 'B' was put into operation and to save the blank I'd taken my flounder rod and had that chucked into the channel resulting in two flounders which was better than nothing.Packed in about half past 9.
