from what I heard the NWC, indeed the whole northern half of the bank was dead dead dead today.

good luck though......I cant go tomorrow as planned so Im sure there will be 100 lb tuna jumping into boats begging to be bled out.

this am

just got back in. Great day on the water, FAC, light south/sw breeze. water temp around 63.

Headed to nwc at 0400...Found whales, birds and sand eels galore but very little sign of tuna, other than the occasional one breaking the top (prob saw three smaller fish (40-50 lb range) and one that had to go 300+.) Water was about 120 feet. drifted a little and ran to about the 200 foot mark where we marked fish about 70 ft down working the sand eels. No tuna but big (35+ lb) bass who took sluggos and big knockoff butterfly jigs when the dogs didnt get to them first. This happened just about every time we headed off into deeper water. The shallow water had tons of bird and bait activity, but little pushing it.

Spent about and hour and half socked in heavy fog starting around 730ish with about 75 yd visibility. While we sat there, lots of radio chatter, but didnt hear of anyone hooked up except to bass.

We noticed the same things as JR13. No surface action and schools of bait down deep. After the tide changed we started landing really fat striped bass to 35 pounds on butterfly jigs. We also noticed the whale activity pick up after the tide change as well.
