Yesterday 07/01/08

Well I headed out yesterday afternoon, hoping for my fisrt Cod (in fact first fish) of 2008. I arrived at the mark at around 14:30 greeted by quite a stong westerly wind and a fairly rough sea.set up 1 rod with a Lug and mussel cocktail and cast out, within seconds of hitting bottom rod tip went mental I thought Here we go and struck into a fish felt quite heavy too, reeled it in to find I had a caught a tiny coaly and a lot of weed

. Had a few more chucks to no avail, and eventually had to give up weed and Swell were getting a bit much so decided to pack up around 19:00.

So all in all a somewhat dissapointing day, no blank though and got to practice my casting skills ( thanks again Paul

) which are greatly improved, and the dog only gobbled 1 whole macky

Heading back to work on thursday

so will be out for a while but looking forward to getting out a LOT more this year Hence the Species List.
